Psoriasis is considered as a psychosomatic disease affecting the skin and joints.Signs and symptoms include flaking, redness; thickened, raised and dry skin. Psoriasis affects all parts of the body, but mostly seenaround the areas of elbows, knees and scalp. Excess intake of alcohol, lack of exposure to sunlight, stress, cold weather, obesity, wounds causes flaring up of the disease. Psoriatic arthritis causes pain, swelling, stiffness, tenderness in the joints.
