Acne
Acne is a skin condition that occurs when hair follicles become plugged with oil or dead skin cells. It often causes whiteheads, blackheads or pimples and usually appears on the face, forehead, chest, upper back and shoulders. Acne is most common among teenagers, though it affects people of all ages. There are many causes for development of acne like genes, hormonal imbalance, infections, diet (high glycaemic diet or oily diet), stress, exposure to environmental factors like pollution, dust, smoke etc. Typical features of acne include increased secretion of oily sebum by skin, comedones, papules, nodules, pustules and often results in scarring.
